As Bridget pointed out, it has been a looooong time since I updated this thing.  Too long, and I am sorry!  I have been posting things on Facebook, but that is little help to those of you who don’t have one, isn’t it?

Anyway, after fighting with Flickr (why does it upload pictures in reverse order and then make it so hard to organize them?  WHY??), I have uploaded some pictures from Aunt Anne’s from yesterday, and one video from today.  Mom and I were the only two from the far reaches of Western Maryland to make the trip.  This year it was Joshua and Christie’s turn to spend with her family.  No pictures of Liam, in other words!

It’s been an extremely busy month so far!  We’ve had two picnics, and two band competitions along with practices, meetings, football games, birthdays, and work!  It’s been a great month!

I posted some pictures from the most recent band competition on my Facebook site.  You can find those pictures here.  I am going to post some more in a bit.  (the baby’s napping now, so I never know how much time I’ll have to do stuff like this, but check here for more links!  I’ll add them to this post!)

Liam’s birthday passed in a blur.  I do have pictures of his party up on FB.  They are here.  I can’t remember if I sent that link out before or not!  There’s a video up on FB, for those of you who are my friends.  Mom, Joshua, Christie, and I all got him a power wheels (used) for his birthday.  It was only slightly terrifying!  I can’t seem to find a link to the video for those of you not on FB, so for now, I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it!  Or you could all sign up.  *hint, hint*

I’ll post more later!  So far I haven’t lived up to my promise of one post a week, but I gotta say, I think I’ve done pretty well!

I found these pictures in one of Dad’s wallets when going through a box from Kingsport.

In the spirit of  fall, the band had their parent show last night.  This is when they perform their field show for parents.  I know that might have been hard to glean from the description!  Any way, I don’t think I’m going to post them to Flickr right now simply because the automatic uploader always loads them in reverse order and I don’t have the patience to upload them in the correct order right now.  Anyway, you can see them on my facebook page, even if you don’t have an account.

For those of you in the area, the band will be in Martinsburg WV on 9/19.  They will take the field around noon.  (that’s going to be a quick visit since they have to high-tail it back to Preston County, WV for a show at 6 that same evening.)  Chapter Championships are at South Hagerstown on 10/24 at 5.  And if they win there, Atlantic Coast Championships are in Hershey, PA on 11/1 around 9 in the morning.  Let me know if you want further details!

And, in honor of Senator Kennedy, here’s a petition that’s been making the rounds.  Some of you might want to take a peek at it.

We went to the Garrett County Agricultural Fair last night and I managed to take more than several shots while we were there!

I have uploaded some new pictures to the Flickr site.  (They tell me I’m approaching the limit of my free account!  I like to get my money’s worth!)

Joshua, Liam, and I all made the trek to Hagerstown to visit Dad’s grave on Sunday.  We left a spray and cleared out some of the older arrangements.  I am thrilled to report that Aunt Anne’s plaque is still there, as is the Steelers pennant!  I’d like to add to the sports theme by getting something with the Reds on it when we visit Kentucky.

There was also a quarter on one of the rocks and a rock with a psalm on it.  I don’t know who left those items, but I was glad to see others had been visiting.

We also visited the park and I took some pictures of the bench and the tree.  Liam was having a blast playing, so he is not happy to be sitting in the pictures, but it was Father’s Day and it’s life, so I decided to post them anyway!  I think they’re sweet, even if he is mad!  I haven’t had a chance to order the plaque, mostly because I’d like input from Joshua on it and it’s hard to find a time when we are both free and near a computer!  That is my next priority, though.  It will be nice when people can see what the bench and tree are for!

I have much, MUCH more to say, but will save that for when I see you all!  I am looking forward to seeing some of you at the wedding and the rest in a few weeks!

I don’t really have much to update, but I did manage to post a picture to my Flickr account.  I think I’ve uploaded a couple of new ones since April.

I haven’t been doing a very good job of keeping this updated lately!  Not much has been happening that’s been worth updating!  same old, same old!

I hope your lives are more exciting (in a good way) than mine!  I’ll try to at least post a picture every week.  A goal!  Excellent!

We celebrated Easter at my house with a light brunch and an egg hunt indoors due to weather and Savannah (Christie’s niece) having just had her tonsils removed and tubes put in her ears.  It was a lovely day.  Now I’m completely ready for WARM weather.  WARM, do you hear?

In other news, Christie is officially an Elmlinger.  She went the Social Security Administration a few weeks ago and made it official.  You may hence forth address her as Mrs. Elmlinger, Mrs. E (Joshua is Mr. E, get it?  Mystery? HA!), Mrs. Christina Elmlinger, Mrs. Christie Elmlinger, Mrs. Joshua Elmlinger, or just Christie.

We are all looking forward to Becky’s wedding and seeing those who will be attending (anyone have plans to attend?  Got lodging?  I’m looking for ideas and want to stay where others are staying if others are coming in!) and then on to Lexington!!  I’m so excited!!!!
